Asher has been a photographer for Tulane University since 2008. She is responsible for visually illustrating campus life, the Tulane community, and the surrounding city. She works with Web Communications and Public Relations, Media Relations and News, as well as other constituents across Tulane to provide photographic services that support and promote the University brand. She also regularly contributes story ideas and writes articles as needed. Outside of Tulane, Asher frequently lectures on New Orleans’ history and is a published author: Hope & New Orleans: A History of Crescent City Street Names (2014), Stories from the St. Louis Cemeteries of New Orleans (2015). Asher contributed chapters to two different books on New Orleans’ tricentennial and her book on Prohibition in New Orleans will be published by LSU Press in 2018.
