All websites representing Tulane University must be created and managed using approved templates and layouts that align with the university’s brand identity. Site administrators and content creators are required to follow university guidelines regarding brand identity, web accessibility, hosting, security and all applicable laws and regulations.
Hosting Requirements
To maintain the highest levels of security, integrity and continuity, all Tulane websites must be hosted on university-approved systems. All public-facing websites must be created and maintained using Tulane’s supported content management systems (CMS), event management system (WaveSync), customer relationship management (CRM) systems, or other approved web platforms.
Approved web content management systems include:
- Drupal: The primary CMS for Tulane schools and departments. New Drupal sites can be requested via the Tulane IT Portal and will be allocated upon approval from the University Communications and Marketing (UCM) web team.
- WordPress: If a site is not approved for inclusion in the Tulane Drupal environment, a WordPress site hosted by Tulane IT may be requested.
Please submit any web standard questions through the UCM Support Request form.
