If you’re new to editing a Tulane Drupal site, welcome to the Tulane Drupal community! The resources on this page will help you get started.
Drupal at Tulane
Most schools and departments at Tulane University use Drupal and the Tulane Drupal theme to manage their public-facing websites. Drupal is an open-source content management system (CMS) widely used by colleges and universities to manage digital content.
The Office of Communications and Marketing (UCM) web team is your primary point of contact for Drupal support. UCM collaborates with Tulane IT to maintain the infrastructure for Drupal sites, while the UCM web development and design teams manage the Tulane Drupal theme.
The Tulane Drupal theme handles most of the coding, design, and layout, so you can focus on creating content that engages your audience and supports your team’s goals.
Each Tulane subdomain (for example, communications.tulane.edu and news.tulane.edu) is a separate Drupal site. If you need to edit content on multiple subdomains, you’ll need access to each individual site.
